Arabsat BADR-7 is the latest Arabsat state of the art satellite which will be positioned at 26 degrees east, increasing the number of Arabsat’s satellites at this "Hot Spot" orbital position to 4 active satellites
Arabsat BADR-7 6th Generation Satellite
Arabsat BADR-7 (aka Arabsat-6B) was produced in an Airbus Defence and Space-led consortium EADS-Astrium, with Thales Alenia Space designing and building the spacecraft’s communications payload. The satellite will be the 6th satellite within the Arabsat fleet and has a lifetime of 15 years
Arabsat BADR-7, with unparalleled market specific beams covering the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia with unrivaled Ku and Ka-band payload and a special Ka-band mission tailored to deliver broadband and tripleplay services from satellite.
Arabsat BADR-7 will enable telecom service providers to benefit out of the beams cross-strapping connectivity to European Gateways (PoP) and enable broadcasting services to enjoy immune anti-jamming beams delivering broadcasting services to millions of viewers without interruption.
